Meet a CASA

Justin Davis

Meet Advocate Justin Davis. A Houma native and resident for 45 years, he has deep roots in the place he calls home. He’s been married to his wife, Hollyn, for 12 years. The two started dating in the 8th grade and have now been together for 30 years! Together, they are raising two sons, Hunter (22) and Jackson (11).

Professionally, Justin works as an Assistant Operations Manager at Offshore Energy Services. Outside of work, you’ll find him doing what he loves most: spending time with family and friends. Whether he’s cooking for a crowd, entertaining at home, or hunting and fishing, he values togetherness. A fun fact about Justin: on group trips- especially beach vacations- he somehow always ends up as the “travel agent,” making sure everyone gets where they need to be.

His journey with CASA began about 14 months ago. While he had long been involved in the annual crawfish cook-off, it was the encouragement from his wife and her “YaYa sisters,” who had recently completed CASA training, that truly sparked his interest. They shared that CASA truly needed more male advocates. Since becoming a CASA volunteer, he has advocated for one child and recently closed his first case. When preparing for court, he values collaboration with others involved to ensure everyone is aligned on the best path forward. When writing court reports, he focuses on factual observations and the best interest of the child.

His greatest accomplishment as a CASA volunteer was closing his first case, but the most gratifying moment came when the child he advocated for was reunified with his mother. Seeing the joy they shared made every step of the process worth it.

When asked what advice he would give to someone considering becoming a CASA advocate, his message is clear: “being a CASA volunteer means giving a child a consistent, stable voice throughout a challenging process. It is a commitment, and sometimes a lengthy one, but the impact is life-changing.”
