This month we would love to introduce you to Carol Bergeron. Carol has been a CASA volunteer since May 2018. She was sworn in after her husband and best friend were CASAs for a couple of years. She has worked on a total of 5 cases and changed the lives of 12 children. She worked her first case with her husband Blayne Bergeron. The majority of her time as a CASA volunteer, she has been partnered up with her long-time best friend Penny Hebert. During her CASA career, Carol has spent many hours and miles traveling the state for her CASA children. While she enjoyed the time spent with her best friend, Penny, they are thankful to be working on a case that is placed here in the Houma area.

Carol is a hair stylist by trade. She can make you feel absolutely beautiful! She is the mother of her angel daughter, Christy Jackson, stepmother to Christina and Angelle, and doggy mom to a German shepherd named Roux. Carol is a Christian woman from Houma, La. Her husband Blayne is the lead singer of Bandit; therefore, they spend a lot of time in the music scene in Houma and the surrounding areas. Carol stated that to prepare for court, she and Penny review all recent notes and documents to refresh their memory. They pray over the case as a whole and that the best scenario is carried out for their CASA children. To anyone who is interested in becoming a CASA volunteer, Carol says to just do it. Knowing that children are in a better place because of people who care is worth the work. Carol is a major asset to our organization. We appreciate all that she does for her CASA children and the joy she brings when she is in the office.
