Bonnie Naquin
Meet Bonnie Naquin, our Board Treasurer. Bonnie has been an invaluable member of our Board of Directors for the past seven years, but her connection with CASA of Terrebonne runs even deeper. Before joining the board, Bonnie dedicated six years as an active volunteer, advocating for six children in need.
Even after her time as a direct advocate concluded, Bonnie wasn’t ready to step away from CASA. As our treasurer, she meticulously reconciles all accounts each month and plays a key role in the year-end financial audit. Additionally, she supports our fundraising events, helping to drive our mission forward.
When asked about the board’s greatest achievements during her tenure, Bonnie highlighted the successful implementation of a new Strategic Plan, the update of our board policies and procedures, and the success of our Vegas Night fundraiser.
Outside of her CASA commitments, Bonnie is a devoted mother to two bright and beautiful daughters, Ella (12) and Lydia (9). She works as an accountant at Southeast Neuroscience Center and enjoys gardening, yoga, and brunches with friends. As a native of Bourg, La., Bonnie graduated from South Terrebonne High School in 2003 and Nicholls State University in 2007. Though she has recently relocated to Prairieville, Bourg will always hold a special place in her heart. And did you know? Bonnie has a quirky talent—she can wiggle her ears!
Bonnie’s advice to those considering joining CASA is simple: Get involved! CASA is a fantastic organization that makes a real difference in the community. Even with a busy schedule, the time commitment is minimal compared to the lifelong impact you can have on a child in foster care.
Lastly, Bonnie encourages support for our mission: If you’re able, please consider donating. Every dollar helps!
