Ida Moore is a lifelong resident of Terrebonne parish currently living in Montegut, LA. A graduate of Nicholls State University with a BA degree in Elementary and Secondary Education, and certifications in French, Spanish and Social Studies, she is a retired teacher. Ida spent 28 years in Terrebonne parish public schools and has been actively working with at risk children for many years. She served on the Terrebonne Parish Children and Youth Services Planning Board and with others was instrumental in the establishment of the SPARC program. Ida was a CASA volunteer for 10 years and received the CASA of the Year award in 2008. She has been married to her husband Jack for over 50 years and together they have 3 children and 5 grandchildren.
